Rare 1950s LeCoultre mystery dial wristwatch retailed by Vacheron & Constantin–LeCoultre, featuring an unusual and highly sought after square case form rarely seen within the model line, as these watches are most commonly encountered in round examples. The 28 mm case houses a mesmerizing diamond “galaxy” mystery dial in which the hands appear to float across the surface without visible connection, an innovative mid-century horological illusion that became one of the era’s most distinctive luxury watch complications. Elegant and architectural in profile, the square case gives the watch a strikingly modernist appearance while preserving the refined sophistication associated with both LeCoultre craftsmanship and Vacheron & Constantin retail provenance.
