Fratelli Petochi was founded in Rome in 1884 by brothers Alessandro and Giuseppe Petochi, whose reputation for impeccable craftsmanship, quality, and discretion quickly set them apart. In 1904, their work caught the attention of Prince Alessandro Torlonia, who invited them to open a salon within the grand Palazzo Torlonia, a 16th-century townhouse in the heart of the city. From there, the house became a favorite of Europe’s most distinguished families—including the Borghese, Colonna, Odescalchi, Pallavicini, and even the royal House of Savoy, which honored Fratelli Petochi with a royal warrant.
